Turkish Eggs


Ingredients:

  • ½ cup greek yogurt

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice 

  • 1 tsp minced garlic 

  • salt and pepper to taste 

  • 3 tbsp butter

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp crushed red chili flakes

  • 4 eggs 

  • 1 tbsp chili butter

  • 1 tbsp chopped cilantro


Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl combine the greek yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt and pepper. Mix together and set aside.

  2. In a small saucepan, melt together butter and olive oil and add the paprika and red chili flakes.

  3. Let the mixture sizzle for 30 seconds and then turn off the heat.

  4. Poach 4 eggs.

  5. Spread your yogurt mix on the bottom of a serving dish and gently top with the poached eggs.

  6. Generously drizzle the plate with the chili butter

  7. Garnish with some fresh chopped cilantro and serve with crispy bread.
