Pecan Pie


Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ sticks of butter

  • 1 ½ cup dark brown sugar

  • ¾ cup granulated sugar

  • 2 tbsp flour

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tbsp vanilla

  • 3 tbsp milk

  • ½ cup light corn syrup 

  • 4 beaten eggs

  • 1 cup pecans

  • pre-made pie dough



     


Instructions:

  1. Start by melting the sticks of butter in a pan.

  2. Once the butter has melted, both of the sugars, flour, salt, vanilla, milk, and corn syrup.

  3. As soon as the mixture comes to a boil, remove from the heat and cool for 5 minutes.

  4. Once cooled, slowly whisk in the beaten eggs.

  5. Using store bought or homemade pie dough, add about a cup of pecans to the bottom  of the pie crust.

  6. Then pour pour over half of the sugar mixture, about 1 ½ cups.

  7. This recipe makes two 8 inch pies, or one 10 inch deep dish pie.

  8. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown on top. This will take around 30 to 40 minutes.
