In N Out Kebabs
Ingredients:
½ yellow onion, diced
1 lb ground beef
½ cup chopped cilantro
1-2 serrano chilies, finely diced
1 tbsp minced ginger
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 tsp salt
½ tsp crushed red chilies
½ tsp red chili powder
½ tsp ground coriander
½ tsp ground cumin
½ tsp black pepper
cheddar cheese sticks, cut in half
4 tbsp mayo
1 ½ tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp sweet relish
1 tsp vinegar
1 tsp sugar
banana peppers
olive oil, for frying
Instructions:
Add a few tablespoons of olive oil to a skillet.
Add the diced onions, and saute until the onion have lightly browned.
Then remove from the heat, and set it aside to cool.
TIn a large bowl, add a pound of ground beef, and the cooled sauteed onions.
Then add the serrano chilies, minced ginger and garlic, and all the spices, and mix well.
Grab a small amount of the ground meat, flatten it out a bit in your hands, then place half a cheese string on the meat, and roll is up so that the cheese is enclosed in the center of the kebab.
Add some olive oil to a skillet on medium to high heat, and gently place the kebabs in the pan.
Rotate the kebabs so that they cook evenly on all sides and are a golden brown color.
For the sauce, combine mayo, ketchup, relish, vinegar and sugar in a bowl.
Serve the kebabs with the sauce and some banana peppers on the side.
