In N Out Kebabs


Ingredients:

  • ½ yellow onion, diced

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • ½ cup chopped cilantro

  • 1-2 serrano chilies, finely diced 

  • 1 tbsp minced ginger

  • 1 tbsp minced garlic

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp crushed red chilies

  • ½ tsp red chili powder

  • ½ tsp ground coriander

  • ½ tsp ground cumin

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • cheddar cheese sticks, cut in half

  • 4 tbsp mayo

  • 1 ½ tbsp ketchup 

  • 1 tbsp sweet relish

  • 1 tsp vinegar 

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • banana peppers

  • olive oil, for frying


     


Instructions:

  1. Add a few tablespoons of olive oil to a skillet.

  2. Add the diced onions, and saute until the onion have lightly browned.

  3. Then remove from the heat, and set it aside to cool.

  4. TIn a large bowl, add a pound of ground beef, and the cooled sauteed onions.

  5. Then add the serrano chilies, minced ginger and garlic, and all the spices, and mix well.

  6. Grab a small amount of the ground meat, flatten it out a bit in your hands, then place half a cheese string on the meat, and roll is up so that the cheese is enclosed in the center of the kebab.

  7. Add some olive oil to a skillet on medium to high heat, and gently place the kebabs in the pan. 

  8. Rotate the kebabs so that they cook evenly on all sides and are a golden brown color.

  9. For the sauce, combine mayo, ketchup, relish, vinegar and sugar in a bowl. 

  10. Serve the kebabs with the sauce and some banana peppers on the side.
