Shrimp Pulao
Ingredients:
6 tbsp oil
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp minced ginger
2 tsp minced green chili
6 tbsp fried onions
1 tsp salt
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp crushed red chili
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tbsp chicken bouillon
½ tsp turmeric
6 tbsp yogurt
¼ cup chopped fresh dill
handful of chopped cilantro
1-3 chopped green chilies
2 cups water
2 cups rice
peeled shrimp
oil, for frying
Instructions:
First, wash the rice and soak in water for at least 15 minutes.
In a pan, saute ginger, garlic, and minced green chilies in a few tablespoons of oil for around 30 seconds.
Then add fried onions, and all the spices except turmeric.
Mix in a few tablespoons of water and let the spices cook for a few minutes.
Then add the turmeric and yogurt, and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Add the dill, cilantro, and chopped green chillies.
Add 2 cups of water, and the soaked rice.
Once the water comes to a boil and the rice starts to float at the top, add in the shrimp.
Change the heat to low, and cover your pan.
Let the rice simmer for 15-20 minutes until it’s cooked through.
Gently fluff the rice once it’s done, and serve.
